The bronze equestrian sculpture is shown to the right in rich full color patina and also below in traditional french brown patina. The finished piece is mounted on a beautiful walnut wood base.
One of the details of this piece is the Saint Christopher medal pinned just behind the number one on the left side of Seabiscuit's saddle blanket by Marcela Howard before the horse raced.
The base of this piece is rich with detail, with the final moment of the Santa Anita Handicap sculpted in bas relief and Art Deco design. The other side of the base shows in Aart Deco writing: THE 1940 SANTA ANITA HANDICAP "FOUR GOOD LEGS" SEABISCUIT AND RED POLLARD
